I have been photographing at Sopwell House Hotel in St Albans for many years and always receive a warm welcome by the staff there. Vickie and Jack were married here on the 30th March 2018 and it was a pleasure to photograph their wedding. It was a very rainy day, in fact it did not stop raining which is rare even in this country for the whole day but it did not ruin their wedding at all in fact we had lots of fun shooting photographs all around the hotel at Sopwell House Hotel even with the piano ( the groom definitely enjoyed trying to play it too!) and the luggage cart ( you have to get creative on a rainy day). The day started off at Greys hairdressers in St Albans as the owner is actually Vickie’s aunty ( that must have been a big plus) They had champagne there and snacks and all the bridesmaids, her mom and mother in law and nan all had a great time starting at 9am. Vickie looked amazing and I loved her wedding dress the tulle skirt fell so beautifully around her all day long. The Bridesmaids were in elegant dresses with two colours based around rose pink and nude being used and the flowers picked the colours out well. They had a toast master for the day who helped organise things and was a nice added element to the wedding and the car was a white cab which really suited the fun side of Vickie and Jack. It is easy to take group photos inside once you have off camera lights to create the correct lighting for this. Mr A provided the entertainment for the evening and you can tell from the final pics that they had a lot of fun. I have only just finished the 572 edited photographs and have received a lovely reply from them already ” Hi Caron , Thank you! we’ve just looked and they are absolutely amazing, thank you so much! Vickie & Jack” I am looking forward to designing their album soon but here are a few photos from their Spring Wedding at Sopwell House Hotel:
